FAQs

  • I kindly request that you book your services well in advance. As I am the sole individual dedicated to working on your attire, I prefer to allocate specific time slots for each wedding. Delayed bookings may lead to scheduling conflicts and potentially result in unavailability to accommodate your attire needs. If you're unsure about the exact number of pieces required, fret not; simply securing a time slot ensures we can accommodate your needs effectively.

  • Truly, my expertise and extensive experience set me apart in caring for wedding dresses. Having worked with thousands of dresses throughout my career, I understand the intricacies of delicate fabrics and intricate designs. Unlike hotels or dry cleaners, where the handling of your dress may be uncertain, I provide personalized attention, meticulously noting the details and exact fabrics of your gown.

Wedding dresses demand careful handling to avoid damage, and unfortunately, here in Maui, repair and replacement options are nonexistent if issues arise. It's far wiser to entrust your dress to someone with the necessary expertise from the outset. When your dress is in my care, it remains exclusively with me—from pickup to delivery. You can rest assured that I am the sole individual handling it, ensuring the utmost care and attention throughout the process.

Sending your dress to a hotel or dry cleaner poses unnecessary risks, as it may undergo multiple transports and be worked on by individuals lacking the specialized knowledge required for delicate wedding attire. While they may excel in other areas, wedding dress care is undoubtedly outside their realm of expertise.

  • Bridal Concierge spots are limited each month due to my dual responsibilities of managing Maui Wedding Dress Pressing and Hawaii Flying Dress, all while juggling the roles of a dedicated wife and mother. While I thoroughly enjoy serving as a Bridal Concierge, maintaining a healthy balance is crucial.

To ensure your spot as a priority, it's recommended to book well in advance, as I typically accommodate only four bookings per month. Your understanding and early planning are greatly appreciated.

  • The role of a Bridal Concierge is as diverse as each wedding itself. Picture me as your personal fairy godmother, ready to tackle any task, big or small. From ensuring smooth coordination with your planner to assisting the photographer with styling and dress handling, I'm here to alleviate any stress and handle wardrobe malfunctions with ease.

By taking care of these details, I allow you and your loved ones to fully immerse yourselves in the joy of the day, rather than getting bogged down with logistics.

With my extensive experience in countless weddings, I've encountered and resolved a wide array of challenges with a calming and positive demeanor.

Consider me the secret ingredient that elevates your wedding experience, making it the best celebration you never knew you needed.

  • Wow, after more than two decades in the bridal industry, I've truly seen it all—no exaggeration. From the expected to the unexpected, here are just a few examples of the situations I've encountered during my time working weddings but I will remove the TMI examples as there are quite a few:

    1. Emergency wardrobe malfunctions, such as missing buttons, hems in need of quick repair, bustling mishaps, broken straps, ill-fitting dresses, tangled veils, and stubborn bows.

    2. Floral challenges, including crafting additional boutonnieres, salvaging bouquets that didn't quite meet your vision, accommodating flower allergies, crafting flower girl baskets, adorning the cake with blooms, and even adding floral accents to guests' hair.

    3. Providing first aid assistance, ranging from simple solutions like bandaging blisters to more complex tasks like removing glass from barefoot dancers or providing shaving kits for unexpected grooming needs. I've also offer wraps and compressions for sprained ankles, ensuring that minor mishaps don't derail your celebration.

    4. Acting as a buffer for family dynamics, I adeptly navigate potentially tense situations to prevent drama from escalating and causing chaos. This includes managing and assisting intoxicated or medicated guests with care and discretion, ensuring everyone can enjoy the festivities safely and responsibly.

    5. Offering support in crafting and practicing vows as well as an unbiased supportive friend during a very emotional life moment.

    6. Handling unexpected encounters, such as removing that same runaway dog that seem to have a knack for making a beeline for the bride at Olowalu Plantation.

    7. From bustling and unbustling to expertly placing the veil just right—whether it's being removed and reapplied multiple times throughout the wedding day to perfectly showcase the bride's preferred look at various moments—I've mastered these tasks with seamless ease. In my extensive experience, I've yet to encounter a bustle I couldn't swiftly conquer.

These are just a glimpse into the wide array of scenarios I've navigated with finesse and efficiency throughout my career. Rest assured, no matter what surprises may arise on your special day, I've got the experience and expertise to handle them seamlessly.

  • If I could offer one crucial piece of advice regarding wedding attire, it would be to steer clear of linen and 100% cotton.

While once touted as ideal for destination or island weddings, I wholeheartedly disagree. Despite their popularity, these fabrics simply don't hold up well in our heat and humidity, and no amount of effort can make them look perfect for the big day.

With the availability of incredible fabrics and non-wrinkle technology, I highly recommend opting for a different material. Polyester blends with some stretch are a fantastic alternative that both your groomsmen and I would appreciate.

However, if linen is unavoidable, rest assured that I will do my utmost to make it work beautifully.

  • I prefer to personally deliver your wedding dress directly to your getting-ready location. My delivery truck is spacious and specially designed to accommodate hanging dresses during transport, ensuring they arrive perfectly wrinkle-free. I strongly advise against moving the attire once it has been delivered, particularly avoiding placement in rental cars, which can lead to squishing and wrinkling.

On the day of your wedding, I take great pleasure in setting up the bridal suite. There's nothing quite like the thrill of seeing your wedding dress displayed in all its splendor when you arrive. It's a moment that adds to the magic of your special day.

  • I prefer to work at our Studio versus on location because our facility is set up with our industrial machines and drying equipment which cannot be taken elsewhere. This equipment allows me to work efficiently and ensure your attire is dry by the time you put it on.

  • Yes! We are insured up to 2 million dollars.

  • I can do overnight jobs if needed although I much prefer to have ample time to work on your attire and have it dry properly. If you are concerned about the turnaround time, please contact me.

  • I work with all venues and coordinator teams. Regardless if your wedding is an elopement or a giant bash, I can do it.
